There are two main ways you can delete apps on Chromebooks, both of which will take less than a minute of your time. You can uninstall the ones you no longer have any use for right from the app drawer or via the Google Play Store. The process is different depending on the method you choose, but the end result is exactly the same. We’ll walk you through both options in this post.
How to delete apps on Chromebooks via the app drawer
Click the circular icon in the bottom-left corner of your Chromebook and then click the up arrow to see the list of apps you have installed on your device. Find the app you want to remove, right-click it, and then select the “Uninstall” option. Click “Uninstall” again when the window pops up and you’re good to go.
Keep in mind that the process is more or less identical for uninstalling an app you’ve downloaded from the Chrome Web Store. The only difference is that the option to remove an app will be labeled as “Remove from Chrome” instead of “Uninstall.”
