TL;DR
  • Newly leaked marketing renders show off upcoming Googlebooks from Acer, ASUS, and Lenovo, featuring slim designs and a healthy selection of ports.
  • All models appear to sport a signature “Glowbar” light strip on the lid. Hardware specs are likely to target the premium segment.
  • Google has officially confirmed that Googlebook pre-orders begin on September 21, 2026.

Following months of drip-fed details, fresh leaks have revealed the upcoming lineup of Googlebooks from Acer, ASUS, and Lenovo ahead of their anticipated release, giving us a better look at how the broader ecosystem is shaping up across brands.

According to new marketing renders published by Android Headlines, the first Googlebooks from Acer, ASUS, and Lenovo showcase remarkably slim profiles and a decent selection of ports.

Notably, all three laptops sport a colorful “Glowbar” light strip on their outer lids. The design element directly evokes the nostalgic rainbow LED accent from the 2013 Chromebook Pixel, and it serves as a unified signature identifier across Google’s new platform initiative.

Under the hood, these machines appear to target premium buyers. Previous leaks indicate that Lenovo’s Googlebook will feature a 15.3-inch 120Hz OLED panel powered by an Intel Core Ultra 5 325, while ASUS has prepped the CX9406 with up to 16GB of RAM. Acer’s entrant is similarly slated to feature a 14-inch OLED display configurable with either Intel Core Ultra 5 325 or Core Ultra 7 355.

Beyond the traditional clamshell laptop form factor, Lenovo has also been spotted readying a 2-in-1 detachable tablet to round out its Googlebook lineup.

Pre-orders for the first wave of Googlebook laptops will officially kick off on September 21. We’ve not heard as much about Googlebooks from HP and Dell, so those should be coming later.
