Acer Googlebook is officially coming soon, and here's a first glimpse

Google will hold its Googlebook launch event on September 15, and we’re expecting many devices from hardware partners. Now, Acer has confirmed that it’ll “soon” offer a Googlebook of its own, while giving us a fleeting glimpse at the device.

Acer confirmed at its IFA 2026 event that its first Googlebook is “coming soon,” without revealing more availability details. It’s a safe bet that we’ll learn more about Acer’s new computer at the September 15 launch.

Otherwise, the company also gave us a glimpse of its new Googlebook. There isn’t much to glean from the images, but it looks like a conventional laptop rather than a detachable device. We can also see a Google Pixel phone next to the laptop, hinting at the previously disclosed cross-device integration.

Previous Acer Googlebook leaks hint at a machine with an Intel Core Ultra 5 chip, 16GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD, and a 14-inch 120Hz OLED screen. We can’t rule out variants with more impressive internals, either.

This wasn’t the only news Acer had at IFA 2026, though. It also announced an ePaper monitor, the crazy Project DualPlay Mini concept handheld, new Swift laptops, and new Iconia Android tablets.
