Google Store Refurbished Program

It’s no secret that Google offers quite a few premium-priced products in the Google Store, including the $229 Google Nest Hub Max and the $799 Google Pixel Slate. Now, Google has taken another step to offer affordable high-end products to its consumers through its Certified Refurbished program.

Google previously released the budget alternative to the Google Pixel 3 series, the Google Pixel 3a, to offer a more price inclusive lineup. Even the standard 3 and 3 XL have also received price drops recently to make way for the Pixel 4’s impending October 15 launch.

But Google has taken its cost-effective alternatives to the next level by selling refurbished products on the Google Store. As of right now, customers can pick up a refurbished Pixelbook and Google Wi-Fi three-pack for hundreds of dollars less with an included one-year warranty.

Originally coming in at $999 before tax, you can now purchase a refurbished Google Pixelbook for only $749. That price tag may still seem a little high for a Chromebook, but once you get a feel for the premium build quality and buttery smooth UI, that price makes a little more sense. And at $250 off, I think that puts the Pixelbook where it probably should have been in the first place.

Google’s router replacement, Google Wi-Fi, normally costs $99 before tax. Now, a refurbished three-pack comes in at just $179. That’s three devices for the cost of less than two, making a Google powered home mesh network more accessible than ever before.

The Pixelbook and the Google WiFi three-pack are the only Certified Refurbished devices available at this time, and we don’t know when or if more products will be added. In the future, we hope to see more devices enter the program, especially Google’s mobile handsets.
