- Google is bringing Connected Camera support to 11 new communication and work apps, including Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Slack.
- Connected Camera lets your Pixel device connect to another linked Pixel or even a GoPro for multi-camera video feeds, while retaining native app filters and effects.
- With this update rolling out on the Play Store, the number of officially supported apps has grown from five to 16.
Google is expanding one of the Pixel line’s most underrated video features to a much wider audience. With the latest update to the Pixel Camera Services app, Google is rolling out support for its Connected Camera feature across 11 new communication and productivity apps, significantly expanding its utility for users who want high-quality, multi-camera video feeds on their Pixel phone.
Connected Camera allows Pixel devices to capture or stream across supported applications while tapping into external cameras, namely a linked Pixel phone or even a GoPro, along with the host app’s native effects and filters. Think of it like a mini TV studio where you can easily bounce from Camera 1 to Camera 2 without interrupting your stream.

Previously, the functionality was largely limited to entertainment and social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, and YouTube. The latest Pixel Camera Services app v4.1.977867365.00 expands the list of supported apps with 11 additional options, adding compatibility for the following work and communication apps:
- Google Meet
- Gmail
- Slack
- Microsoft Teams
- Zoom
- Telegram
- Skype for Business
- WhatsApp Business
- Facebook Messenger
- Discord
With this latest batch of 11 additions, the total tally of officially supported services climbs to 16. The expansion is a practical win, especially for users who frequently jump between video meetings and group chats across work apps like Slack and Teams or cross-platform messengers like WhatsApp and Discord, turning the Pixel into a far more flexible video tool without third-party workarounds.
The update for Pixel Camera Services is currently rolling out through the Play Store. Once updated, the expanded compatibility should be automatically available across supported apps on eligible Pixel hardware. Admittedly, the need for a multi-camera setup is low for most users, but if you ever need one, you now have easy access to the feature in more apps.
