Update, October 19, 2021: The Pixel 6 series is here! Read our in-depth buyer guide for all the info you need, and check out our hands-on impressions of both the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro for more detail.

Google has already confirmed the Pixel 6 series will launch tomorrow. It’s also already confirmed you’ll be able to buy the phone that same day, although only in a pre-order at first. We’ve also got plenty of rumors surrounding how much the phone could cost, and it’s surprisingly cheap.

Apparently, Google could be planning to sweeten the deal even more. According to some leaked info from United States retail giant Target (via Android Police), Google Pixel 6 pre-orders could come with a nifty free gift in the form of Google Pixel Buds A-Series. These true wireless earbuds cost $99 on their own, so this is like getting a $100 freebie.

If you wanted a new set of ‘buds anyway, this is a terrific opportunity for you. Even if you don’t need another set of earbuds clogging up your bag, you could turn around and sell these on the used market and cut down on the Pixel 6 price even more.

The leaked Target listing also appears to confirm what we already assumed, which is that Google Pixel 6 pre-orders will likely start right at the end of the launch livestream around 11:00 AM PT (2:00 PM ET). It’s also very possible this freebie isn’t a Target-exclusive, and instead a retail-wide pre-order offer. If that’s the case, then you could pre-order the phone from anywhere and get the Pixel Buds, which would be great. Stay tuned for more info on this, as you should start to see promotional offers such as these flooding the airwaves.
