Update, December 4, 2019 (6:30AM ET): The Pixel 3a series previously gained the Pixel 4’s astrophotography mode last month, but one more Pixel 4 feature is now hitting the mid-range series.

The company confirmed on Twitter that the Live Caption feature is now rolling out to the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL. This confirms user reports in recent days that Live Caption was now enabled on the budget phones. Check out the tweet below:

Live Caption uses on-device machine learning to generate captions for web videos, locally stored video clips, podcasts, and audio recordings in general. The feature only supports English right now, but Google is working to support more languages and multi-speaker content.

The Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL launched earlier this year with Android Pie, and were upgraded to Android 10 shortly after release. They are expected to receive three major updates in their lifetime in accordance with Google’s smartphone update policy.

Google tends to update its Pixel phones with the latest Android version shortly after it first becomes available. That means the Pixel 3a and 3a XL should see Android 11 as soon as the final version rolls out. It’s expected around September of next year.
