One of the best reasons to use Waze is due to the speed trap and speed limit warnings, with Google Maps only offering this functionality in a few countries at the moment. Fortunately the Mountain View company is bringing speed trap/limit alerts to plenty more markets right now.

The company confirmed the expansion and list of countries to TechCrunch, revealing that speed trap and speed limit alerts are now available in just over 40 markets. You can check out the full list below.

The functionality joins several more features added to Google Maps over the last few months, including AR navigation, real-time EV charging station information, and drug drop-off locations.

We’re glad to see Google finally bring a beloved feature over from Waze to Google Maps, but Waze has also received a major feature in return earlier this month. Back at Google I/O 2019, Google revealed that it’ll be bringing Assistant to the navigation app, allowing users to file crash reports and more with their voice.
