TL;DR
  • Google is expanding Gemini Daily Brief access to even more users in the US.
  • Users without a paid Google AI subscription can now get daily briefings as well.
  • The feature is being rolled out gradually, so it could take some time to reach all eligible users.

Google’s Gemini Daily Brief is a useful feature in theory. It surfaces helpful information once a day to keep users up to date with their tasks, emails, and everything else. The company is also working on making it easier to customize so users can fine-tune it to their liking. Now, Google is bringing Daily Brief to even more users in the US.

Google announced today in an X post that it’s bringing Gemini Daily Brief to users without a Google AI Plus, Pro, or Ultra subscription. This means more people can get an easily digestible list of their tasks and important information every day directly from Gemini. The company also updated its support page and removed the mention of Google AI Plus, Pro, or Ultra subscriptions as a prerequisite for accessing Gemini Daily Brief.

Google is also working on several new Gemini Daily Brief features and improvements. We previously spotted evidence of an audio option so you can listen to daily briefings. We also recently uncovered evidence that Google might bring daily briefings to the lock screen on Android phones.

Clearly, Google has big plans for the Daily Brief feature, and expanding it to more users is a good sign for anyone outside the US waiting for it to roll out in other countries.

Users can access their Gemini Daily Brief from the Gemini mobile apps and the web. If you can’t find it, make sure you meet all the requirements Google has laid out, including connecting Workspace apps to Gemini and enabling memory. The feature is rolling out gradually, so you may need to wait a bit to access it even if you have everything set up correctly.
