Update, May 6: A new render of the Gear Fit 2 was revealed by @evleaks.
Original, May 5: Following the leaked hands-on images from last week, Samsung’s new fitness-minded wearables showed up on one of the Korean manufacturer’s websites.
Pictures of the unannounced Gear Fit 2 fitness tracker and Gear IconX Bluetooth earbuds were uncovered by MobileBulgaria on Samsung’s S Health landing page. By the time of this writing, the high resolution product shots have been removed, but they do serve as confirmation of the earlier report from Venture Beat.
Plus, if Samsung is already decking out its web properties with promotional shots of the two products, it’s likely that the official unveiling of the Gear Fit 2 and Gear IconX isn’t too far behind.
The original Gear Fit was released two years ago, alongside the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo smartwatches and the Galaxy S5. The Gear Fit 2 reportedly features a Super AMOLED screen of higher resolution compared to the Gear Fit, that is also more ergonomic thanks to a more visible curvature. The Gear Fit 2 is also said to include a GPS module, a highly sought after feature for fitness junkies everywhere.
Here are the hands-on photos from last week:
As for the Gear IconX Bluetooth earbuds, they supposedly integrate both a standalone music player with 4GB of storage and a fitness tracker.
