We have less than a month to go until this leaked date.

TL;DR
  • The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE could arrive on January 11, 2022, according to veteran leaker Evan Blass.
  • This wouldn’t be the first time we heard a January 11 date mooted for the delayed flagship.

We originally expected the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE to launch in Q3 this year, but that didn’t happen presumably due to the global chip shortage. We’ve heard several rumors pointing to a January 2022 reveal, and now a long-time leaker has dished out a likely date.

Tipster Evan Blass posted a series of Galaxy S21 FE renders on Twitter, along with a January 11 date in the tweet itself. You can view a screenshot of the tweet below.

A January launch window lines up with prominent industry sources such as Max Weinbach, display insider Ross Young, and Jon Prosser. In fact, Prosser previously claimed a January 11, 2022 release date along with a January 4 reveal date (presumably during CES).

Nevertheless, Samsung’s delayed device is tipped to pack either an Exynos 2100 or Snapdragon 888 series SoC, a 4,500mAh battery, and a similar triple rear camera system as the Galaxy S20 FE. So those expecting big upgrades across the board might be disappointed.

This launch would likely be followed in no time flat by the Galaxy S22 series, so you might want to wait for those phones before buying the S21 FE.
