First-ever Fortnite World Cup Finals kick off July 26, $30 million up for grabs
Earlier today, Epic Games announced that the first Fortnite World Cup Finals will take place from July 26 through July 28 in New York City. Pre-registration for tickets is now open and is available through April 14.
Those who manage to get the three-day pass will get a certain number of V-Bucks and a Season 10 Battle Pass. They must be present in order to get the free goodies.
Epic Games also announced the Fortnite World Cup Online Opens, which allow Fortnite players to qualify for the finals. From April 13 through June 16, there will be 10 weekly online tournaments that feature a $1 million prize pool each week.
Each week alternates between Solo and Duos tournaments, with the semi-finals taking place Saturdays and finals taking place Sundays. Server regions with open spots include Europe, North America East, North America West, Asia, Brazil, and Oceania, with Europe and North America East allotted the highest number of spots.
The highest-ranked players from each server region will advance to the World Cup Finals, where players will get a slice of the $30 million prize pool. Winners will get $3 million, while everyone else will get $50,000 for making it that far.
