Fenix 2, the follow-up to the brilliant Fenix Twitter app, is finally available for download. Fenix was widely regarded as one of the best Twitter apps on Android until it ran into trouble and was eventually pulled from the Play Store by the developer. It met its untimely demise due to the Twitter token limit, a problem that has reared its ugly head in the past with other third-party Twitter clients. Even though issues with the original app were sorted, the developer started a new version, rewritten from the ground up. Fenix 2 has been in beta since May and now it’s getting a public release.

The Twitter app features multi-account support, a great looking dark mode, complete customization over the look and feel over its theme, and the ability to display media from outside sites. It’s a nice upgrade over the original Fenix app in terms of both visuals and features and only costs a couple bucks. If you purchased the original Fenix or you’ve been testing the beta, those will still work for you. Everyone else can grab the new app. There’s no free trial or in-app purchases, just the standard $1.99 price. And it’s well worth it.
