Catalyst Black: How to play with friends

This is precisely what Catalyst Black provides, as the game allows you to party up with friends from anywhere. Let’s discuss how to play with friends on Catalyst Black.

THE SHORT ANSWER
To play Catalyst Black with friends, tap SOCIAL > ADD FRIENDS. Send whoever you want to play with a friend request, then wait for them to respond. Once you're friends, you can go to the PARTY tab and start a new party. In that party, tap INVITE, then invite whoever you want to play with to your party.

How to send a friend request in Catalyst Black
Open Catalyst Black on your Android or iOS device. From the main menu, tap the purple SOCIAL button in the bottom left.
Within the FRIENDS tab, tap the ADD FRIENDS button.
In the Enter player handle field, type in their complete player handle. This includes the hashtag and number at the end of their Catalyst Black player handle.
Press Confirm to send the friend request.
TIPS AND TRICKS
If you weren't aware, in the FRIENDS tab, you can see a Recently Played list. Here, you can tap the plus icon next to people you've recently played with to quickly send them a friend request.
How to accept a friend request in Catalyst Black
From the main menu, tap the SOCIAL button in the bottom left. If somebody has sent you a friend request, you should see a red notification diamond above the button itself.
In the FRIENDS tab, tap the REQUESTS button. There should be a red notification diamond above this button as well.
In the Friend Requests pop-out, tap ACCEPT next to the person you want to add as a friend.
How to create a party in Catalyst Black
Open Catalyst Black on your Android or iOS device. From the main menu, tap the purple SOCIAL button in the bottom left.
Tap the PARTY tab from the menu on the left.
Within PARTY, press the orange CREATE PARTY button in the bottom right.
How to invite people to your party in Catalyst Black
After you’ve created your party, you can access your party at any time from the PARTY tab in the SOCIAL menu or by tapping the My Party button from the main menu.
Invite from your friends list
Tap any of the plus-shaped INVITE buttons in your party.
In the INVITE pop-out, tap the INVITE button next to whoever you want to invite to your party.
Invite using a party code
Tap any of the plus-shaped INVITE buttons in your party.
In the INVITE pop-out, tap the CODE tab along the top.
Within the CODE tab, you will see your party’s unique code. Tap COPY CODE or COPY LINK, then send that to the person you want to invite to your party.
How to join a party in Catalyst Black
From a party invite
When invited to someone’s party, you will receive an in-game notification in the top-right of the interface. It will read [user] has invited you to their party.
Tap the orange ACCEPT button in the notification to join that party.
Using a party code
Go to Catalyst Black’s main menu and tap the purple SOCIAL button in the bottom left.
Tap the PARTY tab from the options on the left.
At the top, you will see a field where you can type in a party code. Enter the code for the party you want to join, then press the orange JOIN button when it lights up.
