A MacBook makes for a great work-from-home option, especially if you invest in a few accessories as well. Just make sure you double-check the specs carefully to ensure that you’re grabbing the right device.
It’s worth remembering that the Apple tax applies — these are premium laptops at premium prices. We’ve rounded up the biggest savings on them available, but no MacBook falls into the budget category. Featured deal: 10% off the 2021 MacBook Pro
Apple really hit the mark with the latest range of MacBook Pros, ironing out many of the wrinkles of previous generations. A hefty price tag is to be expected, but the 14-inch model just got its first major discount since launch. You can now get the 512GB variant for $1,799 ($200 off).
The 2021 MacBook Pros feature significant upgrades to Apple’s first-generation M1 chip in the form of the M1 Pro and the M1 Max. This model features the former, but you needn’t feel that you’re missing out. For the vast majority of people, including those that edit high-resolution video, the Pro is perfectly good enough in terms of raw power.
The rest of the updates in the MacBook Pro (2021) are equally as significant: an updated adaptive 120Hz display, an upgraded 1080p webcam, improved speakers with spatial audio, and some of the best battery life you can find on a really powerful laptop. On top of all that, MagSafe makes a welcome return, as do the SD card slot, HDMI port, and physical function keys.

MacBook Air deals
If you want the lightest and thinnest laptop in the MacBook lineup, the Air is the way to go. In addition, you have options when it comes to the MacBook Air, as you can choose between putting in an M1 chip or an Intel chip. Plus, the Magic Keyboard replaces the much-maligned butterfly mechanism with familiar scissor switches from older MacBook offerings.

The MacBook Air is a solid choice for most daily tasks, and it has the battery life to keep you going. Here are the best MacBook Air deals we could find:

12-inch MacBook deals
If you wanted the absolute smallest MacBook on the market, your best bet for a few years was the 12-inch MacBook. Since it was designed to replace the MacBook Air, the tiny device shipped with an Intel Core m3 processor onboard and an edge-to-edge butterfly keyboard. In addition, the MacBook was one of the first laptops to jump on the port-stripping bandwagon, rocking just one USB-C port.
It comes with a Retina display and up to 10 hours of battery life, both of which are pretty impressive for the small machine. The 12-inch MacBook was discontinued in 2019, but there are a few deals on renewed models still available:
- 12-inch MacBook with Mouse (Core M3, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Spanish Keyboard, Open-Box) for $1,005 ($503 off)
- 2017 12-inch MacBook (Core M3, 8GB RAM, 256GB, Renewed) for $436.70 ($93 off)
13-inch MacBook Pro deals
The 13-inch MacBook Pro is the entry point to Apple’s Pro series. It still has the old butterfly keyboard and an eighth-generation Intel Core processor, which is still pretty rapid. Although the 13-inch MacBook Pro is probably the next laptop, Apple will refresh, but you can save a bit of money in the meantime.
If you want a laptop with a bit more processing power and a few more ports than the MacBook Air, the MacBook Pro is the way to go. Here are some options with different specs to check out:
- Late 2020 MacBook Pro (Apple M1 processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD) for $1,274 ($25 off)
- Late 2020 MacBook Pro (Apple M1 processor, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD) for $1,349 ($150 off)
16-inch MacBook Pro deals
If you want the absolute top-of-the-line and you have the budget to handle it, the new 16-inch MacBook Pro is hard to top. It offers the Magic Keyboard, new generation Intel chips, and up to 8TB of storage. Plus, the 16-inch MacBook Pro also features six speakers for your most ambitious creative projects.
The 16-inch MacBook Pro is the model to beat. Unfortunately, there are currently no deals on this model, but they have seen a price drop in recent weeks.
