The process of adding a font on a Mac is nearly identical to the way it works on Windows. PowerPoint will read the font file on your computer and automatically add it after you’ve installed it.

  1. Download the font you wish to add to PowerPoint on your Mac.
  2. Locate the downloaded file and, if it is compressed, extract it.
  3. Open the font file by double-clicking it. This will open Font Book.
  4. Click Install Font.

How to embed fonts in PowerPoint

Embedding a font in a document or presentation allows you to localize the use of that font. This means that, if you open it on a computer that doesn’t have that exact font installed, you will still be able to use that font.
