Even though the Motorola Droid Razr held the title for the slimmest smartphone for quite some time, a new candidate was announced in today’s CES. Huawei’s Ascend P1 S smartphone was named as the thinnest smartphone at the CES 2012 while a serious challenger, the Motorola Droid 4 (also announced as the thinnest smartphone on the same day) measured 12.7mm thick. The Huawei MediaPad has made its mandatory visits at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) lately and  has been given FCC approval, which hints that the Android tablet is nearing its launching. Two Android devices–a 7-inch tablet and a 4.5-inch smartphone– have been sighted lately, both of which are reportedly heading for the U.S. market. “In the wild” photos of the T-Mobile variant of the Huawei MediaPad have been leaked by an unnamed source to TmoNews. The tablet is reportedly 4G-capable and comes with a 4,100-mAh battery pack. The photos show T-Mobile apps and widgets, which suggest confirmation of where the tablet is heading to.
