Thank. God. Google Photos has finally added a capability that has long been a staple of photo organizing apps and programs. In a Google+ post today, Google Photos announced that they are adding album slideshows to the picture-storing platform’s list of robust features. Finally you can simply navigate to an album and select Slideshow from the dropdown menu to have your favorite images automatically paraded before you.

This beats the pants off the old method, which saw you clicking painstakingly through each picture. For the best possible experience, the Photos team recommend Chromecasting the album to your television to make all your guests jealous of your spectacular vacation photography.

Things just keep getting better and better for Google Photos. The platform is scarcely a year old, and it’s already garnered 13.7 petabytes of pictures that would have been taking up internal storage on smartphones, and it has over 200 million active users each month. The search giant continues to roll out new updates for Photos, some of the most recent being customizable movies, a comments section, and the option to manually backup your photos.

What do you think of Photo’s new slideshow feature? Are you a regular user of the app? Although some users naturally have privacy concerns about remotely storing their photos, other couldn’t imagine living without it. Give us your thoughts in the comments below!
