Sony Store sites in UK and Europe start Xperia XZ Premium pre-orders for June launch
A couple of months after a few third-party retailers in Europe started accepting pre-orders for the Sony Xperia XZ Premium, the upcoming high-end phone can now be purchased on Sony’s own store sites in the UK and parts of Europe. At least two of those sites are also offering some bonus accessories with those pre-orders.
In the UK, you can purchase the Xperia XZ Premium for £649. If you pre-order the phone before May 31 from the UK site, you can also get a free pair of Sony’s MDR-NC750 headphones, which are normally worth about £60. For the rest of Europe, the price for the phone is €749. The Sony Store site in Germany is including an even nicer pre-order bonus. Customers can get a free pair of high-end Sony MDR-100ABN headphones, which are normally worth €299. Again, the pre-order must go in by May 31 to take advantage of this offer. The phones come in black and “lumious chrome” colors on Sony’s sites.
Sony expects to start shipping the Xperia XZ Premium phones in early June in those markets. Just a reminder: It will have a 5.5-inch 4K LCD screen with Gorilla Glass 5, along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, Android 7.1 Nougat, 4 GB of RAM, and 64 GB of onboard storage, with a microSD card slot to add more storage. The phone will also have a 19 MP rear camera with the ability to capture slow-motion video at 960 fps. It will also have a 3,230 mAh battery and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. So far there’s no word on when the Xperia XZ Premium will make it to the US.
