He combines this with years of experience testing and evaluating bleeding-edge consumer technology for a global audience. Oliver has been with Android Authority since 2017. His current role is Managing Editor, which involves coordinating and implementing editorial strategy, with a focus on long-form content. He works closely with other talented writers to shape and curate the site&rsquo;s editorial standards, while also writing in-depth product reviews of smartphones, tablets, laptops, wearables, smart home gadgets, games consoles, and more. Oliver graduated from the University of Southampton in 2010 with a BA in Film, later returning to his alma mater to complete an MA in Film and achieving a Distinction in 2013. &nbsp; His first Android phone was the Google Nexus 4, and he&rsquo;s still a Google user to this day with a Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel Buds Pro, and Pixel Watch 2. He relies on a trusty Apple MacBook Air M2 for work, but spends his downtime either playing games on PC, Switch, Xbox Series X, PS5, Steam Deck, or watching obscure movies on an Apple iPad Pro or NVIDIA Shield TV.
