Google's latest AR app lets you revisit season one of The Mandalorian

This winter, you can invite Mando to your home with the help of Google. In partnership with Lucasfilm, the company has launched The Mandalorian AR experience. The app allows you to bring “iconic moments from the first season of The Mandalorian to life,” which is to say you won’t need to worry about season two spoilers.
Google says it worked with Lucasfilm to create “hyper-detailed models and life-like animations — all while packing scenes with fun surprises.” The company built the experience on top of its AR Core platform. In the process, it added a new Depth API, which allows for 3D objects to more realistically blend into the environment. You’ll need a recent 5G-capable Android phone like the Pixel 5, Galaxy S20 or OnePlus 8T to check out the experience. You can see the full list of supported devices on Google’s developer portal.
