Original article: April 15, 2022 (4:30 AM ET): Smartphone manufacturers have been teaming up with camera-related companies for over a decade now, dating back to Carl ZEISS and Nokia. This trend has continued unabated in recent years as mobile brands try to stand out in a crowded space.
Do these partnerships between smartphone manufacturers and camera/photography brands actually improve image quality though? That’s what we want to know from you in our featured poll today.
Do smartphone camera partnerships result in better photos?
Some of the most prominent partnerships today include OnePlus and Hasselblad, vivo and ZEISS, and HUAWEI and Leica. We even saw shaky rumors of a Samsung/Olympus partnership and a realme/Kodak deal last year, but these clearly didn’t pan out.
