Poll: Which smartphone button placement do you prefer?

You’d be forgiven for thinking that smartphones look the same these days. After all, so many devices use a combo of glass or plastic backs, feature punch-hole cutouts, and offer triple or quad rear camera setups.

Nevertheless, one thing smartphone brands can’t seem to agree on is the placement of volume and power buttons. So let us know which button placement you prefer via the poll below.

There are three major button layouts right now, starting with the power button being below the volume keys. This placement is adopted by a host of players, including Samsung, Xiaomi, vivo, and Motorola. Meanwhile, Google is one of the few companies to place the power button above the volume rocker.

Finally, the third layout preferred by some brands is to place the power button on one side of the phone and the volume keys on the other side. Manufacturers adopting this placement include Apple, OnePlus, and OPPO.
