Okay, this one’s obviously an outlier among shows like The Umbrella Academy, but hear us out. Succession is about a rich and powerful media mogul and patriarch who manipulates his grown children, pitting them against each other and having them do his bidding in the faint hope that he might pass along power over his company to one of them. Like the Hargreeves, the Roy children have a complex relationship with their father and with each other, leading to constant drama and conflict.
New laws allow cops to wear masks and hide their identities after an attack by white supremacists leaves most of the Tulsa police force dead. One of those newly empowered cops is Angela Abar, or Sister Night, who fights racists while dealing with the legacy of vigilantism decades after the events of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’s celebrated comic Watchmen.

Things don’t quite go to plan when she finds out the woman was her clone, and just one of many. Now, Sarah is on a quest to find out who did this and why.
Another Netflix superhero show, Jupiter’s Legacy also tackles family and generational conflict among superpowered protagonists. Soon, he finds himself teaming up with a team of mutants, like him, and evading capture from a shadowy government organization.
