Pixel phone owners can now look forward to getting their monthly Google security update. The company has announced its rollout of the September 2021 security patch to supported Pixel phones. As usual, you can check for a software update in System Settings and download it, or just wait for a normal notification.
For September 2021, Google didn’t show any featured updates that were included in the Pixel security patch. However, they do include separate US and Japan versions for the recently launched Pixel 5a smartphone.
The September security patch comes even as Google is close to finishing Android 12. It’s likely that the final version of the major OS upgrade will come sometime in the next month or two.
