Can you schedule posts on LinkedIn?
Yes. Until recently there wasn’t a built-in way to do this, but a free native tool began rolling out in November 2022.
Some third-party services like OneUp and Hootsuite provide more elaborate options. Those can include posting across multiple services simultaneously, but you’ll be paying a monthly or annual fee if you want to use such services regularly.
Note that the free scheduling tool might not be available in all regions, or even for all users in a supported region.
How to schedule a post on LinkedIn
Here’s how to use LinkedIn’s free scheduling tool, when and where it’s available:
- Compose a post as usual on the web or via the Android app. iPhone support is planned.
- If the tool is available, you’ll see a clock icon next to the Post button. Click/tap this.
- Select a date and time. Be mindful of timezones — LinkedIn defaults to your local zone, so you’ll have to compensate in every instance you’re targeting people elsewhere.
- Click/tap Next, then Schedule.
