Samsung's next big One UI update may be closer than you think

Didn’t Samsung just finish the One UI 9 beta program? Apparently, there’s no rest for the software team or Galaxy owners eager to test what’s next. Barely a month after stable One UI 9 began rolling out to the Galaxy S26 series, Samsung is already dropping hints about its next big update. A redesigned banner in the Samsung Members app suggests the One UI 9.5 beta program could be warming up behind the scenes.

As SamMobile reports, Samsung has refreshed the One UI Beta Program banner in the Samsung Members app, which Galaxy owners use to register for beta updates. The change is interesting because Samsung recently wrapped up its previous beta cycle, though the updated banner doesn’t explicitly mention One UI 9.5 or confirm that registration is about to open.

Of course, One UI 9.5 itself is hardly a mystery. Previous leaks have pointed to customizable widgets, native app locking, and App Mirroring for tighter integration with Galaxy Books. Samsung could also introduce Google’s Satellite Connectivity Hub, though these features remain unconfirmed. What’s still missing is an opportunity for regular Galaxy owners to try the software themselves.

As for when that might happen, Samsung launched its first One UI 8.5 beta on December 8, 2025, roughly three months after the stable One UI 8 rollout began. A similar timeline could put the One UI 9.5 beta sometime in December, potentially starting with the Galaxy S26 series.

That’s speculation for now, though. Samsung hasn’t announced a beta launch date, eligible devices, or participating markets. Still, with One UI 9.5 already undergoing internal testing, the refreshed Samsung Members banner gives eager Galaxy owners another reason to watch for an official announcement.
