Amazon slashes Samsung’s 34-inch Odyssey G5 by $150

Samsung’s 34-inch Odyssey G5 is built for people who want a bigger, more wrapped-around gaming view, and there’s a strong deal on it right now on Amazon. This ultrawide monitor gives you a lot more room than a standard display, whether you’re playing games or keeping multiple windows open.

The Odyssey G5 uses a 34-inch 1000R curved VA panel with an Ultra WQHD resolution of 3440 x 1440. It also has a 21:9 aspect ratio, which adds extra horizontal space that can make games feel more immersive. For speed, Samsung lists up to a 165Hz refresh rate and a 1ms response time, with AMD FreeSync Premium support on board to help keep gameplay looking smoother. HDR support is included too, making this a well-rounded mid-range ultrawide for gaming.

This model is a good fit for anyone who wants a large curved monitor without jumping to Samsung’s pricier Odyssey tiers. The 1000R curve is one of the big draws here, since it helps pull more of that wide screen into your field of view.

The deal is what makes it especially worth a look today. Amazon has the Samsung Odyssey G5 down to $249.99, from its $399.99 recommended retail price. That’s a $150 saving, or 38% off RRP. For anyone shopping for an ultrawide gaming monitor with fast performance and a high-resolution curved panel, this is a solid time to buy.
