The Samsung Gear S3 Classic and Frontier editions have launched in India and will be available for INR 28,500 (~$428) from January 18. The new Tizen-based smartwatches, which went on sale last November in the US, can be pre-ordered through online and offline channels from today.

Both Samsung Gear S3 versions feature a 1.3-inch circular Super AMOLED display, 1 GHz dual-core processor, 768 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage space and a 380 mAh battery, as well as IP68 certification for dust and water resistance.

The main difference between the wearables, aesthetics aside (the Frontier is the more “sporty” variant), is that the Frontier version houses 3G/LTE capabilities — making it easier to use it as a standalone device — and a microphone for voice calls.
