Samsung has finally launched the Galaxy Z Flip 5, and the company has followed the wider industry trend of offering a large cover screen. This comes after the likes of OPPO, vivo, and Motorola all launched clamshell foldables with big cover displays.

We can see why you’d call it a hot device, as that giant cover screen is the biggest design-related change we’ve seen for the Flip series in quite some time. This could significantly change the way we use clamshell foldables. Toss in the super-powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chip and a slightly thinner design, and there are a few notable upgrades.

Then again, there aren’t any other new features to see here. We’ve got the same folding screen, the same cameras, the same battery size, and the same charging specs. So you’re effectively paying for a big cover display and a new processor.
