TL;DR
  • The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 price in Europe just leaked.
  • The price allegedly starts at €1,080 (~$1,098).
  • This suggests there could be a $100 price increase in 2022.

In 2021, Samsung wowed customers by dropping the price of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 to $999. For the first time, folks could grab a brand new foldable phone for under $1,000.

However, it doesn’t appear Samsung is going to go even lower this year. In fact, a leaked Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 price suggests the company could instead go higher in 2022.

According to leaker Sudhanshu Ambhore (via PriceBaba), the European price of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 could be €1,080 (~$1,098) for the model with 128GB of internal storage. The upgraded model with 256GB of storage could land at €1,160 (~$1,179) while the maxed-out 512GB model could drop at €1,280 (~$1,301).

Given that Samsung usually keeps pricing quite comparable in the US and Europe, you should expect the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 price in the US to start at around $1,099. This would represent a $100 increase if this rumor pans out.

When you think about it, though, this makes sense. Supply chain issues haven’t gotten much better over the past year and the expected upgrade to a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset can’t be cheap.

Regardless, it will likely be disappointing news for cash-conscious consumers who were hoping for an even cheaper Galaxy Z Flip this year. There’s still hope, though. This is just a rumor after all, and Samsung could have surprises for us on August 10 when it officially launches the phone.
