Leaked Galaxy Watch 3 render shows off Samsung's wearable in all its glory
- Frequent leaker Evan Blass has posted new Galaxy Watch 3 renders.
- The renders give us a closer look at the upcoming wearable.
- The images also seem to corroborate previous leaks and specs.
Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 3 has appeared in multiple leaks and official listings, but a new render gives us our best look yet at the upcoming wearable. Tipster Evan Blass has outed a clear image of the Galaxy Watch 3 via Patreon, showing its solid stainless steel build and a design inspired by the original Galaxy Watch.
This new render matches images from a previous leak that showed a Galaxy Watch 3 unit with its display turned on. Just like the 2018 Galaxy Watch, the Galaxy Watch 3 appears more like a regular watch than a smartwatch. It seems to have the same grooved bezel as its predecessor, with markings around the watch face and two pushers on the side.
Although we can’t really tell from the image if the bezel of the watch rotates or not, rumors have suggested that it does. The original Galaxy Watch also came with a rotating bezel and seeing that the Galaxy Watch 3 matches its design so closely, we believe Samsung will retain the feature.
The back of the smartwatch reveals its 45mm size and confirms specs like 5ATM water resistance, Gorilla Glass DX protection, MIL-STD-810G certification, and built-in GPS. An FCC listing had also confirmed these specs previously.
Not much can be discerned from the display of the watch but those leather straps look pretty neat. The watch face in the render could be the default one on the Galaxy Watch 3 and shows readings for steps taken, battery percentage, as well as weather. We’re pretty sure Samsung will let users customize the watch face as it does on all its smartwatches.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 3: More specs and features
Previous leaks have suggested that the Galaxy Watch 3 could come in 45mm and 41mm sizes, with 1.2-inch and 1.4-inch displays. Other expected features include a blood pressure sensor, a heart-rate sensor, ECG measurement, 1GB RAM, Wi-Fi connectivity, and more. It’s also said to run Tizen OS 5.5.
