Poll: What do you think the Galaxy S22 Ultra should be called?

Should Samsung keep the current name or opt for Note branding? Or should it be something else altogether?

Published onOctober 4, 2021

Samsung’s Galaxy S21 Ultra offered S Pen support for the first time in the mainline Galaxy S series, but the phone doesn’t actually have an S Pen slot like the Galaxy Note line. However, a purported Galaxy S22 Ultra render posted by veteran leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer indeed shows a device with this feature.

In other words, those disappointed by the lack of a Galaxy Note phone in 2021 might have something to look forward to next year. But should the upcoming phone still be called the Galaxy S22 Ultra or does the S Pen slot warrant a different name altogether? Choose a name in the poll below or leave a comment with your own name for the new phone.

The Galaxy Note brand still has plenty of fans, especially among power users, so there’s at least one reason for Samsung to incorporate the Note name. You could also argue that the Galaxy Note and Galaxy S names are basically interchangeable now that an S Pen slot could be present.

On the other hand, changing names could complicate branding for Samsung and lead to market confusion among consumers. Either way, you can vote for your desired name above or give us your alternatives name via the comments section.
