There has been some confusion regarding Samsung’s new S10 lineup, which launched on Tuesday, after Samsung listed 6GB RAM versions of some devices on its website. Yesterday, someone on Reddit posted a photo of a Galaxy S10 settings menu which also showed it has 6GB of RAM (it looks like a store demo unit). Apparently, this software labeling is incorrect.

Below, you can see the internal memory and RAM amount shown on Samsung website for the 128GB Galaxy S10 on Sprint.

Samsung’s latest statements to Android Police may be good news for anybody who wants to pre-order a Galaxy S10, as they’ll be getting 2GB more RAM than they might expect. However, we don’t  know why these discrepancies are here in the first place.

While it may be easy enough to type in the wrong digit onto an online product system, having a device itself display the incorrect amount of RAM seems like a more significant foul-up. Perhaps Samsung ships deliberately lower-spec’d demo units to stores in order to cut costs.

For clarity, the Samsung Galaxy S10e, the lowest-priced Galaxy S10 version, does include a 6GB RAM variant.

We’ve reached out to Samsung once more regarding this matter for a final confirmation and will update this page with any new information.
