TL;DR
  • A recent leak alleged that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be available in five colors.
  • That compares to the Galaxy Note 8’s four color options.
  • Samsung will launch the Galaxy Note 9 August 9.

Even though Samsung will launch the Galaxy Note 9 in a matter of weeks, there is still plenty that we do not know about the upcoming flagship. Thanks to today’s leak, we may have received the first details on the Galaxy Note 9 color options.

According to Galaxy Club, the Galaxy Note 9 will be available in five colors: black, gray, violet or purple, blue, and brown. The brown might hue closer to gold, based on previous Galaxy smartphones. Also keep in mind that, since the Galaxy Note 9 will likely feature a glass back, the lighter colors will hide the fingerprints and smudges better than black or blue will.

By comparison, the Galaxy Note 8 is available in deep sea blue, midnight black, orchid gray, and maple gold.

Elsewhere, the report also alleged that the accompanying S Pen will match the color of the phone. The Galaxy Note 8’s S Pen also matches with the color of the phone, but it is nice to see Samsung possibly continue that with the Galaxy Note 9.

Based on a previous report, the S Pen will also take pictures remotely, control music, and work as a pointer during presentations. This means that the Galaxy Note 9’s S Pen might have a small battery that supplies the power for the Bluetooth connection.

As a quick recap, the Galaxy Note 9 reportedly features a 6.38-inch 2,960 x 1,440 display, dual primary cameras, either the Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9810, 6GB or 8GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, 4,000mAh battery, Android 8.1 Oreo, and Bixby 2.0.

We will have to wait until August 9 if these specifications pan out. In the meantime, check out our Galaxy Note 9 rumor hub at the link below.
