Samsung's 6,000mAh 'monster' phone gets an official launch date
A day after appearing in an Android Enterprise listing, the Samsung Galaxy M30s now has a confirmed launch date. Some key specs of the phone have also been outed in official teasers.
Samsung is calling the Galaxy M30s a “monster” and that’s probably because of the massive 6,000mAh battery, the largest ever on a Samsung phone. Its predecessor, the Galaxy M30, also had a sizeable 5,000mAh battery, but some extra juice is always welcome.

The phone is expected to stack a 48MP+8MP+5MP setup at the back, consisting of an ultra-wide sensor and a depth sensor. A 16MP selfie shooter is expected to be housed within the front notch.
Further, the teasers confirm an Infinity-U display. As per previously leaked information, it could be a 6.4-inch FHD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. A physical fingerprint sensor is also seen at the back of the phone.
An early hands-on video of the Galaxy M30s has also popped up online confirming other details such as the presence of a USB-C port and a brand new Exynos processor. This could be the rumored Exynos 9611 chipset, as previously seen on a Google Console listing of the phone. The listing suggested that the octa-core processor consists of four Cortex-A53 cores and four Cortex-A73 core. It could be paired with 4GB and 6GB of RAM. Storage options could include 64GB and 128GB variants.
The mid-range Galaxy M30s will launch in India on September 18 at 12 p.m. IST.
