  • A new teaser video suggests Samsung custom foldables could be on the way.
  • The video suggests you’ll be able to mix-and-match colors to create a foldable unique to you.
  • We’ll learn what the teaser is all about on October 20 at the newest Galaxy Unpacked.

Samsung surprised us all recently by announcing a new Galaxy Unpacked event happening on October 20. We are not sure what the company has in store for us, but a new teaser video gives us a hint.

The cute teaser video heavily suggests you’ll be able to create a Samsung custom foldable phone. It’s not totally clear (it is a teaser, after all) but it looks like you’ll be able to mix and match the colors of different components and make a foldable tailored specifically to you.

Check out the teaser for yourself below.

The teaser shows three little aliens tapping buttons and pulling levers in the “Galaxy Studio.” As they do, three individual color pickers move around creating all sorts of new combinations. As the colors move, the aliens’ shirts change color.

The fact that there are three aliens and three color pickers heavily suggests you’ll have three options when it comes to your Samsung custom foldable. It could be you can pick the colors of the hinge, the frame, and the glass back, for example. The teaser doesn’t give many hints as to how this would work.

In the end, though, the final tag line of “Get ready to unfold something unmistakably you” makes it pretty clear what’s in store for us. We just can’t determine any details yet.

October 20 is next week, so there’s not long to wait for the next Galaxy Unpacked. Stay tuned so you can find out what these little aliens have in store for us!
