Roborock is teasing a mid-tier Q7 Max robot vacuum and a new auto-emptying dock
- Roborock is launching a new mid-level robot vacuum, the Q7 Max.
- Matching it will be a new dock option, the Auto Empty Dock Pure.
- Both products should be out in Q2 2022.
While details are scarce, Roborock is using CES 2022 to announce a pair of robot vacuum products aimed at mid-range shoppers. The new vacuum model is the Q7 Max, and it will have a new dock, the Auto Empty Dock Pure.

Both products are due to ship in the second quarter of 2022 — that is, sometime between April and the end of June. The company isn’t saying much beyond that, except that the Pure will “build upon” its first-generation Auto-Empty Dock.
That product is designed explicitly for the Roborock S7 and lets owners go several weeks without emptying a bin. The S7 can gauge the best time to offload based on the size of your home and whether or not quiet hours are active.
There aren’t any other Q-series vacuums at the moment. So beyond the dock, it’s not clear what features might distinguish the Q7 Max from Roborock’s S- and E-series models. If it shares anything in common with the S5 Max, though, it could boast mopping support and strong suction.
