TL;DR
  • Xiaomi has announced that the Redmi Note 11T series is coming.
  • Teasers point to the family offering a performance focus.
  • An executive added that the Note 11T Pro is a Redmi Note 10 Pro follow-up.

Xiaomi has a ton of budget phones in its portfolio, such as its bloated Redmi Note 11 series, Redmi 10 devices, and more. But the company still has more devices coming this month.

Xiaomi announced on Weibo that it’s planning to launch the Redmi Note 11T series (including the Redmi Note 11T Pro) later this month. Check out the poster below.

The Weibo post itself suggests that the Redmi Note 11T series will offer “turbo-level” performance as well as performance tuning tech. So those who value horsepower in their budget phones might want to keep an eye on this series.

Redmi GM Lu Weibing also claimed on Weibo that the Redmi Note 11T Pro in particular is a successor to the Redmi Note 10 Pro.

For what it’s worth, we thought the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G was a good budget phone overshadowed by its rebranded, cheaper POCO variant and the standard Redmi Note 11. So here’s hoping the Redmi Note 11T Pro stands out from these devices in terms of value for money and features.

There’s no word on wider availability just yet, but we’ll wait for an official reveal before hoping this happens. After all, there are loads of budget Redmi phones to choose from in 2022 anyway.
