realme 3 Pro back of the phone

We’ve known for some time now that Realme was planning to launch in Europe, and the firm has now revealed the first smartphone to arrive in the region.

The realme 3 Pro is the first device to hit Europe, and the brand has confirmed a starting price of 199 euros or 199 pounds for the 4GB/64GB option. Need more RAM and storage? Then you can splash out 249 euros or 249 pounds for the 6GB/128GB model.

Realme’s Pro model offers an upper mid-range Snapdragon 710 chipset, 6.3-inch full HD+ display, and a 4,045mAh battery with 20 watt fast charging. The realme 3 Pro also offers a 16MP+5MP rear camera duo, as well as a 25MP front-facing shooter in a waterdrop notch.

Other notable features include microSD support, microUSB (no USB-C here), dual SIMs, a rear fingerprint scanner, and ColorOS 6.0 atop Android Pie. The latest version of ColorOS delivers a tweaked UI, Frame Boost and Game Boost 2.0 tech for smoother performance, and remote guard functionality for parents wanting to monitor their kids.

The realme 3 Pro goes on sale from June 5 at midday GMT. The brand has confirmed availability in the U.K. but we’ve enquired about more launch markets.

As GSMArena notes, the Redmi Note 7 starts at 179 pounds in the U.K. — 20 pounds cheaper than the realme phone. The realme device has a more powerful chipset and higher resolution selfie camera, but Xiaomi’s phone packs a 48MP main camera. Which one would you choose?
