Update, December 14, 2018 (11:23AM EST): You can now buy the Raizer Raiju Mobile controller on Razer’s online store. It can be yours for $149.99.

Interestingly, Amazon also listed the controller on its website. The listing states that the controller is currently unavailable, though that should change sometime soon.

You can learn more about the Raiju Mobile in the original article below.

Original article, October 10, 2018 (11:01PM EST): The Razer Phone 2 looks to be a powerhouse of a smartphone, but its gaming-centric nature lends itself well to some sort of controller accessory. Enter the Razer Raiju Mobile, which takes the DNA of the normal Raiju controller for the PlayStation 4 and turns it into something you can use with Android smartphones.

Equipped with an adjustable phone mount that can tilt up to 60 degrees, the Raiju Mobile features your standard array of control sticks, face buttons, D-pad, shoulder buttons, and triggers. The controller also features trigger stops and a hair trigger mode for those times when you need to quick-fire and remain on the move, along with physical Select, Back, Home, and Start buttons.

Underneath the grip areas are two additional “Mecha-Tactile” buttons that can presumably be mapped to specific in-game actions. A mobile app will let you reconfigure all of the buttons for specific titles and save those profiles.

Reconfigurable buttons will not do you much good if the controller dies halfway through your gaming session. To that end, the Raiju Mobile delivers up to 23 hours of battery life on a single charge. Even better, it looks like the controller features a USB Type-C port for charging.

Lastly, Razer specifically lists Vainglory, Lineage 2, Dead Trigger 2, and Gear-Club as mobile titles compatible with the Raiju Mobile. We are sure any title that supports controllers will be compatible with the controller. Also keep in mind that you can map the buttons to touchscreen actions, so even titles that do not support controllers should work.

Razer would probably really like it if you used the Raiju Mobile with the Razer Phone 2. The good news is that the controller should be compatible with a wide swath of Android smartphones, which include the Samsung Galaxy S9, HUAWEI P20 Pro, Google Pixel 2 XL, OnePlus 6, and many more.

The Raiju Mobile will be available sometime in the next two months for $150. The controller is compatible with devices either running Android 6.0 Marshmallow and newer or Windows 7 and newer. You can learn more about the controller at the link below.
