At Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Tech Summit, we heard unexpected news about upcoming PUBG Mobile performance improvements (h/t Ausdroid). Qualcomm has been working closely with the game developers to implement 90fps gameplay on PUBG Mobile.

Previously, we thought this was a distant dream for PUBG Mobile players. It seems that the dream is not as far off as we thought thanks to next year’s Snapdragon chipsets. Apparently, the game will also add support for 144Hz displays once mobile handsets start supporting that high refresh rate.

Qualcomm also announced 10-bit HDR support will be coming to the game. This high-dynamic range support will bring some solid in-game graphics improvements, making gameplay more beautiful than ever.

Neither Qualcomm nor the PUBG Mobile developer team have said exactly when these updates will land. Hopefully, the next generation of Snapdragon devices will at least support 90fps on PUBG Mobile out of the box.
