Over the years, there have been a few solutions to making our smartphones mostly all-screen on the front. First, there was the notch. Then we saw pop-up cameras become a quick fad. Now, we’re seeing most companies embrace a display cutout. However, we’re also seeing under-display cameras become a reality.

There’s still no consensus, though, on which technology will win out and make our phones truly all-screen with no interruptions. Earlier this week, we saw a patent from OnePlus that showed a way to cram a teeny tiny selfie camera into an ultra-thin top bezel. Could this be the solution?

Unfortunately, the OnePlus bezel-cam is just a patent right now, so we have no idea if the company truly intends on putting it into a commercial product. That can’t stop us from using our imaginations, though!
