Original article: February 8, 2022 (1:30 AM ET): It seems like Google is continuing to play whack-a-mole with the Pixel 6 series updates, releasing a February 2022 update yesterday that addresses several key issues. Unfortunately, it looks like this latest update has broken a crucial feature for some users.

Some Redditors (along with a few Twitter users and Pixel Community members) have reported that the February 2022 update broke Wi-Fi connectivity on their phones. More specifically, the Redditors say that toggling Wi-Fi on from the quick settings menu doesn’t actually do anything. It seems like the issue applies to both the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.

Affected users say they’ve also tried rebooting their phones, restarting in safe mode, factory resets, resetting Network Settings, toggling airplane mode, and toggling the mobile hotspot option to resurrect Wi-Fi connectivity. Unfortunately, these measures either don’t work or only work temporarily before Wi-Fi connectivity is disabled again.

The issue doesn’t seem to apply to all users, as some Redditors have claimed that their Wi-Fi is working just fine after the update. Nevertheless, it’s clear that there is a bug of sorts affecting some people.
