TL;DR
  • Specs for the OPPO Find X4 Pro may have leaked online.
  • It looks like more of the same for OPPO, albeit with faster charging.

The OPPO Find X3 Pro was one of 2021’s more interesting releases, featuring a unique glass design, a cool but somewhat gimmicky microscope camera, and a sharp, vibrant screen. It looks like the Find X4 Pro may have leaked, and it seems as if it might be more of the same.

Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed specs for an upcoming flagship device, albeit without directly saying it’s the 2022 OPPO phone. Nevertheless, the claimed 80W figure here lines up with an OPPO Find leak from the tipster earlier this month.

So, what should you expect in terms of specs then? Well, Digital Chat Station reports that you’re getting the follow-up to the Snapdragon 888 series SoC (SM8450), 12GB of RAM, the aforementioned 80W charging speed, and a 6.7-inch QHD+ 120Hz screen.

There’s no word on battery size, but a bigger battery would always be welcomed (although we had no complaints about the previous phone’s 4,500mAh pack).

In terms of photography, the apparent OPPO Find X4 Pro is tipped to get a pair of 50MP cameras (1/1.5-inch sensor size each), a 13MP or 12MP 2X telephoto camera, and a 32MP shooter.

If it’s anything like the Find X3 Pro, then one 50MP sensor will be for the primary camera and one will be for ultra-wide snaps. And it indeed looks like these 50MP cameras have the same sensor size as the 2021 flagship’s 50MP shooters. We’re also guessing that the 32MP shooter is a selfie snapper, which would be in line with the older phone again.

That does make us wonder about the microscope camera, which isn’t mentioned here. It was a pretty cool concept, although the low resolution (3MP) and finicky focusing meant there was plenty of room for improvement. So we hope OPPO’s got a second-generation lens if it isn’t going to offer a periscope camera instead.
