OPPO Find X10 Ultra and vivo X500 Ultra leak points to five 200MP cameras between them

TL;DR
  • Leaker Yogesh Brar has shared camera details for the Oppo Find X10 Ultra and vivo X500 Ultra, highlighting heavy use of 200MP sensors across both devices.
  • The Find X10 Ultra is tipped to sport three 200MP cameras (main, ultrawide, 3x periscope) plus a 50MP 10x periscope, while the X500 Ultra features two 200MP units (main, periscope) and a 50MP ultrawide.
  • Both of these future flagships are on track to outspec the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s camera hardware, though the ongoing RAM crisis makes their availability dicey.

Android brands from China have been pushing mobile photography harder than anyone else, and the upcoming flagships from OPPO and vivo look set to take that megapixels arms race to extreme heights. While previous rumors suggested camera upgrades on the cards for the OPPO Find X10 Ultra and the vivo X500 Ultra, a new leak provides a clearer look at what could be in store for the imaging hardware on the OPPO Find X10 Ultra and the vivo X500 Ultra.

According to leaker Yogesh Brar on X, both smartphones will heavily lean on massive 200MP sensors across their setups. Here is what Yogesh claims:

  • OPPO Find X10 Ultra: 200MP main + 200MP ultrawide + 200MP 3x periscope telephoto + 50MP 10x periscope telephoto
  • vivo X500 Ultra: 200MP main + 50MP ultrawide + 200MP periscope telephoto

This latest tip differs slightly from earlier OPPO Find X10 Ultra camera leaks, which suggested OPPO might stick to a 50MP sensor for its ultrawide shooter while reserving 200MP sensors solely for the primary and periscope telephoto units. If Yogesh’s information holds, OPPO could be prepping a ridiculous triple-200MP array alongside a 50MP 10x long-range zoom lens.

To put this in context with OPPO’s existing lineup, the Find X9 Ultra featured a 200MP main sensor (1/1.12-inch) paired with a 200MP 3x periscope (1/1.28-inch), a 50MP 10x periscope, and a 50MP ultrawide. The newly launched Find X10 Pro Max adopts a triple-200MP configuration (200MP main, 200MP 3x periscope, and 200MP ultrawide) but lacks a second periscope. If Yogesh is right, the Find X10 Ultra essentially takes the triple-200MP setup of the Find X10 Pro Max and restores the dedicated 50MP 10x periscope from the Find X9 Ultra.

Over in vivo’s camp, the X500 Ultra is undergoing a similar evolution. The previous vivo X300 Ultra paired a 200MP main camera with a 50MP ultrawide and a 200MP periscope zoom. The current vivo X500 Pro Max took a slightly different path, opting for a 50MP main sensor alongside a 50MP ultrawide and a 200MP 3.5x telephoto. The upcoming X500 Ultra appears set to restore the 200MP primary shooter to sit alongside its signature 200MP periscope, keeping the 50MP ultrawide intact. This would mark the cameras as not very different from the X300 Ultra so far, with the main highlight expected to be the switch to LOFIC tech on the primary sensor.

For US buyers who primarily experience the Android flagship landscape through the lens of Samsung, these hardware specs show just how much they are missing out on with the dated and rather mediocre setup of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Samsung’s flagship relies on a 200MP main sensor, but surrounds it with comparatively modest secondary sensors: a 50MP ultrawide, a 50MP 5x periscope, and an aging 10MP 3x sensor. Both OPPO and vivo are pushing vastly larger, high-megapixel sensors across the board to give users actual flexibility in how they shoot photos, rather than just give them more cameras for the sake of it.

Whether these Chinese Ultra flagships make their way outside China remains up in the air. Yogesh warns that the ongoing mobile memory crunch could change plans for a global launch. For the sake of the Android ecosystem, we hope that more such capable Ultra flagships keep launching globally.
