Judging by what we've seen so far, the Find N2 Flip looks like a Galaxy Z Flip 4 with a bigger cover display.

TL;DR
  • The OPPO Find N2 Flip global launch event is set for February 15, 2023.
  • The event will take place in London at 2:30 PM GMT.
  • We expect the Find N2 Flip to be heavy competition against Samsung’s similar Galaxy Z Flip 4.

Samsung dominates the list of the best foldable smartphones you can get. Although other brands have thrown their hats in the ring, nothing has stopped Samsung from becoming the king of foldables. However, things are changing.

Chinese OEM OPPO has just set a global launch date for the OPPO Find N2 Flip. This phone launched in China back in December, and has stayed in that country since. It’s very similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, with even the purple colorway looking much like Samsung’s. Now, it looks like OPPO is ready to take on Samsung on the global stage, as the Find N2 Flip is launching in the UK on February 15 at 2:30 PM GMT (5:00 AM ET).

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the OPPO Find N2 is making a global debut at this event. That phone is more akin to a Galaxy Z Fold 4 in that it opens like a book. The Find N2 is much more compact than a Galaxy Z Fold device, folds flatter, and has a less prominent center crease. We’ll need to wait and see if this device ever exits the Chinese market.

Because the Find N2 Flip has already launched in China, we know a lot about it. It has the largest cover display of any flip-style phone at 3.26 inches, dwarfing Samsung’s 1.9-inch equivalent. Inside is a 6.8-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Plus chipset, a 4,300mAh battery (way larger than the Galaxy Z Flip 4’s 3,700mAh cell), and Color OS 13 based on Android 13. The back of the phone has a 50MP main shooter paired with an 8MP ultrawide lens.

The most important aspect of the OPPO Find N2 Flip that we don’t know is pricing. In order to compete with Samsung, OPPO needs to price this at less than £999 (~$1,212), which is the introductory price for a Galaxy Z Flip 4 in the UK. If OPPO tries to charge more than Samsung, the phone will be DOA.

All will be revealed on February 15!
