OnePlus Android 11 update: When will your phone get Oxygen OS 11?
OnePlus has long been one of the faster OEMs for updating Android software, and Android 11 is no exception. It kicked off the rollout back in October of 2020 with the OnePlus 8 series. While the update isn’t fully universal yet, we have some good news for fans of older OnePlus devices. Here’s everything you need to know about when your phone will get Oxygen OS 11 from OnePlus.

OnePlus Oxygen OS 11 update: Which devices have already received it?
We’ve hinted at it, but OnePlus has already made some great progress with its Oxygen OS 11 rollout. It shipped on the OnePlus 9 series and the OnePlus 8T at launch, so you won’t have to worry about an update for those until Android 12 goes live. As for Android 10 devices, the update is already available on all of the following:
- OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro
- OnePlus Nord
- OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro
- OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro
- OnePlus Nord N10
- OnePlus Nord
You’ll also find Android 11 onboard the new OnePlus Nord N200, Nord 2, and Nord CE. The Nord N200 also promises a better maintenance update schedule than the OnePlus Nord N100, but still just one version of Android.
The OnePlus Oxygen OS 11 roadmap
While it’s been good news for OnePlus users so far, the road ahead is a little bit foggier. The OEM has promised its latest Android 11 update for the OnePlus 6 and 6T, though it looks like the beta testing only started in July 2021. At that rate, we may not see a true rollout for all users until the holidays or even early in 2022.
The other OnePlus device eagerly awaiting Android 11 is the Nord N100. It’s only set to receive one major Android version update, so it makes Oxygen OS 11 as important as ever. Unfortunately, we haven’t managed to track down reliable information on the update’s status.
If you have an even older OnePlus device — say the OnePlus 3 or OnePlus 5 — you won’t be receiving the Android 11 update. If you want the latest and greatest in software, it might be time to upgrade your device.
