TL;DR
  • OnePlus today launched the OnePlus Nord 2T.
  • As expected, it’s a slightly better version of the Nord 2.
  • The phone starts at £369 / €399 (~$419). It will not likely come to the United States.

Back in July 2021, OnePlus launched the Nord 2, the official follow-up to the original OnePlus Nord that started it all. Although we had our qualms with the Nord 2, it was still one of the best OnePlus phones when it comes to the specs/value ratio.

Our review: OnePlus Nord 2

Today, we have an iterative upgrade to the Nord 2 in the OnePlus Nord 2T. As with other “T” models in the OnePlus family, this phone is a slight improvement over the original Nord 2 in a few different ways.

As with other mainline Nord phones, though, the Nord 2T is not likely to come to the United States. Instead, this phone will launch in Europe and the UK with other countries likely to be supported soon.

OnePlus Nord 2T: Specs and features

There are three key upgrades for the OnePlus Nord 2T compared to the Nord 2. They are the processor, the charging speed, and the front-facing camera.

The processor jumps from the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 to a Dimensity 1300. This should allow for slightly faster speeds and possibly some better battery life. Meanwhile, charging jumps from the 65W speed of the Nord 2 to the 80W speed we first saw on the OnePlus 10 Pro. And yes, a charging brick comes in the box with the OnePlus Nord 2T.

The front-facing camera gets a subtle upgrade from an older 32MP sensor to a newer one — the same one that appears on the 10 Pro, actually. The rear camera system stays pretty much the same, however, aside from its new design.

Outside of these upgrades, you’ll see most of the same specs and features as the Nord 2. There’s a 4,500mAh battery, a 6.43-inch OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of internal storage. You won’t find a headphone jack or a microSD card slot.

Finally, the phone comes in two colors, as seen above: Jade Fog (left) and Gray Shadow (right).

Pricing

In the United Kingdom, the 8/128GB model of the OnePlus Nord 2T will start at £369 (~$458). The 12/256GB model starts at £469 (~$582). Meanwhile, Europe will pay €399 (~$419) for the former and €499 (~$524) for the latter.

All variants of the phone will be available at OnePlus.com, Amazon, and John Lewis starting May 24. if you want to jump the line, pre-orders start today.
