We’ve seen several OnePlus 8 series leaks in the last few months, with a potential release window coming this week. Now, it seems like a few more key details are forthcoming.

Teen tipster Ishan Agarwal has reported that the OnePlus 8 Pro will receive 30W wireless charging and 30W reverse wireless charging. The former solution means it’ll be tied with the Xiaomi Mi 10 series for fastest wireless charging solution. And it should be tied with OnePlus’s current wired charging solution as well.

Coming to the higher end OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, well, you know already that they will be getting 120hz Punch Hole Display. The 8 Pro will feature Dual 5G support for sure and will also get 30W Reverse Wireless Charging Support. Yes, both normal and Reverse.https://t.co/Kv7jtVuYO7

But it’s the apparent addition of 30W reverse wireless charging that has caught our eye. We’re very skeptical about this feature coming to the OnePlus 8 Pro, as the fastest reverse wireless charging speed on the market right now is the Mi 10’s 10W solution. So OnePlus would be offering a massive leap in charging speed over the next fastest solution — a little unusual when they haven’t actually offered this feature before.

The addition of 30W reverse wireless charging also has implications for the OnePlus 8 Pro’s endurance, as it means your phone could be drained in mere minutes by charging a friend’s device. Nevertheless, Agarwal has a fairly good track record when it comes to leaks for the most part, so here’s hoping the new phone has a big battery to go with the faster reverse charging speed.

Agarwal and 91Mobiles also say the phones will be getting a 120Hz display. This isn’t surprising at all, as OnePlus previously confirmed the series would ship with a 120Hz refresh rate in 2020. But hopefully the standard model indeed gets the higher refresh rate too. The sources also state that the OnePlus 8 series will have dual-mode 5G support (SA/NSA).
